Stone Age Climbing: Indoor Rock Climbing Holds

Welcome to the new Stone Age web site.

Stone Age is a producer of Indoor Rock Climbing Holds. Along with climbing holds, Stone Age offers a variety of other products needed for rock climbing training. There have been many changes at Stone Age over the last year and we are very excited to share these with you. The biggest difference here is that Stone Age is now owned and operated by Touchstone Climbing. Touchstone Climbing owns six indoor climbing gyms in northern California and have hosted more national rock climbing competitions than any other company. This is an exciting change as it allows Stone Age access to over 10 full-time route setters. Because of our commitment to competitive climbing and our experience with everyday route setting, we are able to offer many exciting new climbing holds.

We have changed the way our hold line is organized and divided them into five categories and by size under each of these categories. Features are where you will find our huge holds. These holds are so big that they change both the look and feel of a wall.

The Comp Series are holds designed with climbing competitions in mind. These climbing holds are clean, single faceted holds that really force climbers to use them the way you intented them to be used. Not only are these great for comps but they are the perfect holds for training as well.

The Stone Age Series is our main line. You will find a lot of fun and unique shapes here.

TheEchostone Series holds both look and feel like real rock. These shapes are molded after Granite, Sandstone, Limestone and the unique rock of Fontainbleu.

Under Other Items you will find our selection of screw-ons and hangboards as well as non hold products.

While some things have changed around here there are many things that have not. We are still using the same texture that has made Stone Age one of the best holds on the market. We continue to work with Sander, the founder of Stone Age, to maintain the commitment to detail that you have come to expect from Stone Age over the years.

We understand that there are a lot of hold companies out there to choose from. Many try to sell an image of revolutionizing climbing or present items that look more like art projects than climbing holds. Here at Stone Age we are committed to simply producing high quality indoor rock climbing holds and designing exciting new shapes, while providing the best possible quality of service. We believe that our experience in operating numerous indoor climbing gyms gives us a unique perspective in what makes a good climbing hold and how to provide excellent service.
